When you are feeling down, there are many foods to eat and avoid to uplift your mood, to be happy.
Eat a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables. Avoid meat which has hormones that messes up our bodies. Avoid artificial colors and sweeteners. Eat foods that contain tryptophan, which is a raw material in the production of the neurotransmitter serotonin. Eat foods rich in folate and B6 vitamins, which keep neurotransmitters high. Food rich in folate are pinto beans, navy beans, asparagus, spinach, broccoli, okra and brussels sprouts. Foods high in B6 are cauliflower, watercress, spinach, bananas, okra, onions, broccoli, squash, kale, peas and radishes.
